Location
The Mas Garriga Reception Centre is situated in the municipality of Juià around 8 km from Girona, in a house surrounded by a hectare of land. It is a quiet rural area near to the centre of the town.

Background
From September 2002, when the Fundació Plataforma Educativa began the management of CA Mas Garriga, it has been a collaborative centre with the DGAIA. From the start of 2008 it has been run directly by Fundació RESILIS.
Training
The centre has a classroom for internal training for the resident youngsters, since some of them are still of school age but who, because of their language requirements or brevity of stay, are not able to access ordinary resources. The classroom is not recognised by the Departament of Education and is an internal facility of the centre pending an established agreement.
Within this service there has also been established an ecological vegetable garden and henhouse and a small venture breeding livestock and horses, all within the framework of the workshops. The centre also has a computer room with 8 PCs and access to the internet.
Staff
A director and deputy director.
An administrator.
A psychologist, an educator and a social worker make up the diagnositc team. This group is supported by a social worker and a translator who do the initial examinations. One of the members of the diagnostic teams assumes the coordination.
The education team is made up of 20 educators, three of them with responsibility for shifts, morning, afternoon and weekend, as well as two social integrators.
The training team consists of the classroom teacher and two trades teachers.
The service team consists of a housemistress and two cleaners.
The security team is subcontracted to an external company.
