CRAE Llar Ponent is situated in the town of Tortosa, in Baix Ebre county. Specifically, it is in a very quiet and pleasant residential part of town, just 500 metres from the centre and very close to the hospital. It has very easy access to the centre of the city and to the main services. At the same time, there is a good public transport network going to various cities in the area, either via the AP7 motorway or the bus and Renfe train stations.

Background
The service was originally a centre for socially at risk children that was run directly by Tortosa Town Council. In October 2008, after various phases and two years of external management, the Director General for the Care of Children delegated its management to us after public consultation.
