El CRAE Sobrequés está ubicado en el barrio de de la ciutat de Girona,entre las instalaciones del complejo deportivo GEiEG, las instalaciones deportivas de Can Gibert del Pla y el pabellón deportivo de Santa Eugènia. Se trata de un barrio tranquilo, básicamente residencial, cercano a una amplia red de servicios, que facilitan la comunicación con el centro de la ciudad.
CRAE Sobrequés is located in the Sant Narcís area, in the city of Girona, between the GeiEG sports complex, the Can Gibert del Pla sports facilities and the Santa Eugènia sports pavillion. It is in a quiet, largely residential area that has a wide network of services that ensure good links with the city centre.

Background
In 1982, under the direction of the Diputació de Girona and as a response to the programme "" Releasing children from protective custodial care", the Comunitat Infantil Sobrequés (Sobrequés Children’s Community) was set up. Subsequently, in 1992, its management passed to the Consell Comarcal del Gironès until January 1995, when the transfer to the Fundació Plataforma Educativa began (completed in April 1995).
CRAE Sobrequés has always been a DGAIA centre, with management delegated by means of public tender. From the start of 2008 it has been run directly by Fundació RESILIS.
